Today we are talking about a very interesting novel. This unique story 'Persona' was written by a young Sri Lankan writer named Kelum Weligama. Who exactly is this 'persona'?


Against the backdrop of a competitive business world and a colourful fashion world, Persona is built on man's social passion for power, seduction, love and lust.





Persona is Kelum Weligama's first and only novel, which was written in 2014, 2015 and 2016 but was published in 2017 and is nearing the 4th anniversary of this book. Although this book was not nominated for any awards and was not openly discussed in any literary discourse, the ninth edition in the year 2020 sold over 1000 copies at the Colombo International Book Fair.

"If a woman wants to win in the fashion show of life, she has to be in the proportions of 35% body shape, 30% intelligence, 20% personality and 15% face beauty." Selena thinks so. Who is this Selena? Selena Samanthi Sinclair is actually the protagonist of the story. Hemal Sir, Danushka, Anupama, Victor adds a weird flavour to the story.

“The world sees one of your faces. Another face of yours is visible to those nearby, your other face is not easily visible. That is your true face. ” According to the author, this is based on a Japanese saying

The story goes that if you really want power if you want to add power and go a long way in life, you have to master the skills of magic and sorcery. Selena hides as much of the real person within herself as she can and engages in a living art that she gradually creates, like a sculptor sculpting a personality that benefits others by wanting to see through them or seeing them as such.









So without further ado, I invite you to read Persona. Can be recommended for anyone over 18 years of age. And for those who are interested in business management and marketing, this story will undoubtedly be important.
